My Background

My name is henk Jordaan  . *I am in my sevevnties, reired and legally blind. So I have a lot of time toreflect on my varied life and the cureent state of the world and in particular South Africa. I totally believe I could have done differently, that t our world could have done better and can do much better in the furure.

I went to ten different schools, three different universiteis and saw the vast differences in teacher quality, mteaching methods and results.

U spent most of my regular career working for IBM and had the priviledge of travlling to different coutries around the world, observing different cultures and lifestyeles.  UI also spent ten yeaars farming and emplloyed desparatkly oiir and ybeducated opeople. U aowseent a klot of time learning about the cultures and values that motivate and limit the oppoortunities tha they missed..

After my failled farming adventure I was sixty uears old, have been our of my previous ccareer with no opprortunity to regain formal employment. I had to find a way toearn money as a self empoyed person. Tha I did,m based on a simple value belief tha opportunities exist that can be pursued…

I lost my sight in 2023 and now am again unemployed.

Now, with a lot of time to think and ponderm I find myslef driven to think of solutions to help people of all background and ages to see and pursue opportunities for a better and happier life. I also think of ways to improve larger issues, such as unemplyment,m education and akll things controlled or influened by governments.

So this is why UI started this website to reord by ideas and to invite anyone else who want to engage with me to share more insifhts or even challenge mine.
